چکیده

CID map (similar results obtained for CIR and inclination maps) obtainable in as little as one minute following CA injection, compared to (b) T2w and (c) SSFP imaging that visualize a more homogeneous lesion. (d) Delayed enhancement imaging acquired many minutes post-contrast injection demonstrate similar lesion core and border regions after subtraction with pre-contrast data. a b c d VISUALIZATION OF ABLATION LESIONS BY DYNAMIC CONTRAST ENHANCED MRI

Quantification of blood-brain-barrier permeability dysregulation and inflammatory activity in MS lesions by dynamic-contrast enhanced MR imaging

Objective: Measurement of blood-brain permeability dysfunction in active and chronic MS lesions with T1-weighted dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI to show variation in inflammatory activity Background: blood-brain-barrier perfusion characterization impaired in MS as some studies have shown recently buta comparison between perfusion parameters in contrast-enhanced and non-enhanced lesions not have ...

Feasibility of contrast-enhanced and nonenhanced MRI for intraprocedural and postprocedural lesion visualization in interventional electrophysiology: animal studies and early delineation of isthmus ablation lesions in patients with typical atrial flutter.

BACKGROUND Imaging of myocardial ablation lesions during electrophysiology procedures would enable superior guidance of interventions and immediate identification of potential complications. The aim of this study was to establish clinically suitable MRI-based imaging techniques for intraprocedural lesion visualization in interventional electrophysiology. METHODS AND RESULTS Interventional ele...

Intrinsic MRI visualizes RF lesions within minutes after MR-guided ablation

Background MR visualization of RF lesions is an application of growing interest with the potential for translation to clinical ablation procedures. In particular, intrinsic-contrast MRI avoids the dynamic contrast produced in typical Gd-based MRI, and may differentiate the reversible and irreversible thermal injury thought to be caused by RF ablation. This distinction is important for assessing...

Automatic segmentation of ablation lesions and termination of the image acquisition/analysis process

Background Visualization of radiofrequency ablation lesions during cardiac electrophysiology procedures would help ensuring their contiguity and inclusiveness, which are essential for the procedures’ long-term success. The usefulness of dynamic contrast enhancement (DynCE) and cumulative characteristics for ablation lesion visualization has been already demonstrated (1). However, planning of th...
